You & I

"You & I" is a study of intimacy in collaboration with Nicole Cheer. The 11 photo series expresses the feeling of her. Every photograph provides a sense of who she is. Both the model and the photographer learned, explored, and grew an understanding of each other throughout the study. This series seeks self acceptance of the true feminine physical body. Technically, the model was photographed with a Nikon D600 bouncing between a fixed 50 mm and a 24 mm lens. ”

"But something I find interesting is that I also feel I am just beginning to get to know Nicole. In other words, on the one hand your images convey a certain sense of intimacy. But on the other hand I find myself still feeling like I am being held at arms distance--sometimes she is emerging from the shadows, in several instances we see her back or side, one image is a covert/nude detail and then the last image shows her reveling… but in so much motion we can't quite discern her full being. And I like this sense of mystery you are establishing."
